Painless, one-second headaches all day

For about ten days, I have been getting these one-second, very mild headaches on the right side of my head, just above the ear.  They are not getting any more painful and they are very inconsistent in their appearance in that I may feel 3 or 4 one hour but maybe a dozen or so the next.  The sensation comes on, it's gone and it will be several minutes before it comes back.  I started to document each occurrence, but then there would be such a large gap between each one that I finally just gave up.

I have no other pain or symptoms to speak of, so this seems unusual for me - particularly since I do not get headaches much.

I am going to schedule a visit with my primary doc just to have him look me over, but does anyone have any thoughts on my issue?  Thanks.

Hi,

Thanks for writing in.
Your symptoms could simply be due to anxiety, stress, sinusitis or TMJ (temporomandibular joint disorder). I would suggest you to keep yourself relaxed, make sure you eat on time to prevent low blood sugar levels, drink plenty of water and sleep for at least 8 hrs every night.
The possibility of migraine is less because ligraine headaches are excruciating headaches.
It is good that you will be getting a clinical exam done. Keep us posted and let us know if you need any more information. Take care!
