Pain in right side of head

I have had headaches for most of my life, since I was about 5 years old.  I have and had 5 concussions every one I wad hit in the same spot on the right side of my head.  I had a MRI in 2004 and was told that I had some bleeding on that side and I had a crack in my skull, but the doctor was not that concerned because if was on the outside of my skull and he felt that I must of had another blow to my head, I DID NOT.  Since then I had not had any headaches until now.  The problem is the same as before.  I have pain on the right side in the area were I was hit in the head, and the right side of my body I have a somewhat numbing felling, especially in my face, arm, neck and leg, all on my right side.  Do I need to go and get another MRI?

Hi,
Yes you need to undergo a complete neurological evaluation at the earliest esp since you have numbness on the right side of your body which was not there before. Only your neurologist after thorough evaluation will be able to tell you if you need another MRI or not. Take care!

Hello,
You should consult a neurologist/ neurosurgeon immediately. Describe your clinical features and show them the previous scans too. Discuss with them whether you need a repeat MRI or any other investigation. Also clear doubts about the further management plan in your case. A detailed evaluation is of utmost importance in your case. Especially in view of the persistent and progressive clinical features. Goodluck.
