Hi,
Thanks for writing in.
Some of the causes of early morning headaches are anxiety, depression, TMJ (temporomandibular joint disorder), low sugar levels and high BP.
Make sure you eat something on waking up as low blood sugar can give pounding headaches.
A far as migraines are concerned they can be triggered by a number of things like bright light, loud noise, food items like MSG, processed meats, aged cheese, presevatives.
It is important that you undergo a complete clinical exam and let us know if you need any other information.
I am sure you know that a forum like this can't substitute a formal exam/consult with a medical doctor. You feel you are having a new type of headache for the past 9 days. And you can't find a reason to the same. This itself is enough reason to visit your doctor.
Also, without giving some basic data one may not be able to get reasonable help. Like your age, sex, your past medical history, what all medications are you now on, if living with spouse and children.. and if you have visited an MD what he has advised...
Best rgds,
TA
