Thanks very much for the info. Could you tell me what site to go to to connect hypertension and migraines to sleep apnea. Thank you very much for your response.
Hi,
Recent studies have shown that chronic headaches that are not responsive to medical therapy have been associated with sleep apnea.About 30% of patients in one study with headaches and sleep apnea experienced some relief with C-PAP therapy. However, a polysomnography ( sleep test) is still considered for these patients.
Hypertension connected to sleep apnea? Most patients diagnosed with sleep apnea have weight problems and most of them are middle aged. The prevalence of hypertension is higher among persons in this population.
Hypertension and RLS? One has to identify other underlying conditions like hormonal imbalance, diabetes, nerve disorders and anemia . Hypertension was shown to be associated with RLS which could be explained by the periodic leg movements at night which may trigger release of substances responsible for an increased blood pressure.
