Am having Neck-head pain in the right-back part of the head since January/2008 ,Help!?

d1g

I'am having pain in the Back-Right part of my head ,the pain extends from the top of my neck to the bottom of my skull
i can descripe it as a stabbing pain,it comes and goes very frequently ,it gets worse when i use my Right arm for writing,
i am having it for 1.5 year, the pain didnt get worse but it got more frequent,
i visited a neurologist & he gave me Anti-rhumatic pills,i sticked with the treatment for a week, the pain decreased but didnt go away
the PAIN is not triggerd by any physical-effort, i had a vision test and it was 20/20
the pain goes away temporarly when i lye down on my back
Sometimes i strech my neck,i hear a pop &  the pain goes away temporarly.
i have Not vomited so far,the pain is ONLY on my right part of head&neck since am having it.
Sometimes its stabbing & other-times its a kind of neck-stiffnes
So please Help!

My mom used to get migraines in her arms - as well as the one sided thing can suggest a type of migraine as well... at least, that can be a possibility - but you really need to find another doc to work with you to try different meds, tests and get to the bottom of it.

Was occipital neuralgia suggested?  Have you gotten an MRI of your neck?
