Chronic headaches and a few other things

O have headaches for most of the time that I'm awake on most days.  It is usually just mild to moderate pain, but fluctuates.  It is usually the worst on th left side for my head, towards the front.  I am also cold and tired most of the time, although that has been going on for more than 2 years, so I don't know f it's related.  I am very sensitive to light, and somewhat so to sound, and this seems to get worse when the headaches do.  Caffeine is the only thing that helps, but I don't like to take it because I used to be addicted to it, and have no desire to repeat the experience.
Also, I'm pregnant, 16 weeks as of the day after tomorrow, and the headaches started on January 25th, when I was at 11 weeks.
Any ideas what this is and what to do?

Thanks.  I already do most of that, and my BP is fine.  I talked to my OBGYN, and she said to take caffeine...I'm gonna bring it up at my next visit and see if she has anything else to say.

Hi,

There are a few possibilities which need to be looked into. Firstly it is important to rule out high BP and sinusitis. Migraine headaches or headaches due to allergies are other possibilities which need to be looked into.
The treatment would depend upon the cause. I would suggest you to discuss this with your OBGYN. In the meantime make sure you eat on time, drink plenty of water and make sure you are not constipated by maintaining your intake of fresh vegetables and fruits. Take care!
