Yeah... that is a type of migraine. My face has gone numb before during migraines, like frozen and stuff... as if I've been to the dentist or something, haha. And, the first time that stuff went numb I thought I was having a stroke because my arm and half my face went all numb, but just on one side of my body, and i had no strength in that side of my body... i was sure that i was having a stroke!! But the ER was like "oh no no it's just a migraine, don't worry." it was really scary... but, just a migraine!

I have disabling migraines and have experienced all the symptoms you are describing.
Don't know why a doctor would think those are symptoms of depression - I would suggest you find a different doctor, preferably a neurologist.  Best of luck to you. Will keep you in my prayers.
