Hi,
I suggest you have a cervical spine scan done and also a carotid duplex scan may be able to help. Choking decreases blood fow to the brain and a few seconds of decreased blood flow may cause decreased oxygen supply to the brain tissue leading to injuries albeit minor and reversible. This depends on how long you have been choked ( others may pass out). Your cervical spine might have also been slightly injured when this happened. Have you discussed the incident wih your doctor?
It was back when my boyfriend was drinking and he had pushed me down to the ground and was chocking me and I had a bunch of red marks all over my neck and Ihad a bump on my chest kind of by my collar bone.
No they haven't done a scan of my spine. They think that I have anxiety, which everybody has anxiety but it just seems wierd that these symptoms didn't start til after that had happened.
Heres the meds they have me on
Zoloft 100mg 1*per day
Tizanidine HCL 4mg 1*per day at night
Ibuprofen 600mg 3*per week as needed
Midrin 1-2 as needed for severe headaches
Hi,
Would you be able to elaborate on the injury? Did you lose consciousness or hit your day? Was it anythng like that?
You may discuss with your physician the advantages of physical therapy or rehabilitation in your case as this may help with your neck stiffness.A referral to an alternative medicine specialist may also help. Was a scan of your spine done?
Also, have you any fever and infections associated with the onset of your headaches?
