I waited until the 6 week mark but followed a low Gi diet due to having gestational diabetes, whichh i found has really help me shed some weight
That is a really great tip, do you have a good food chart that you follow? I have heard this helps with balancing your blood sugars out and with weight loss too.
no food chart just had to watch how many serving of carbohydrates i ate cause i ended up on insulin so i had to be spot on,i haven't been as strict now but it did help me also cause i have pcos and so far it's the only thing that has actually worked along side going to the gym
How many servings of carbs do you keep under?
I try to limit my serves of carbs to 3 e.g 2 pieces of toast and a glass of milk or a sandwhich with salad and at dinner like a small bowl of rice and chicken cause 1/3 cup of cooked rice is a serve and 1 cup of cooked pasta is a serve so if you had like 3, 1/3 cups of cooked rice that = 3 serves of carbs and 1 piece of bread is 1 serve and what not
I don't know if anyone else is the opposite, but I actually gain weight when I eat too much protein. I remember trying that Atkins diet and I felt horrible while my mother-in-law loses weight quickly with it. So its always interesting the different approaches we can take to dieting and how different things work for different people.
I guess everybody's metabolism is different at processing foods
I think too staying away from processed foods helps out a lot too
