Hi Dr. Ghosh, I appreciate what you have said. My concern is having to go into surgery again if they can't clip the first time. If for some reason my Neurosurgeon is not comfortable with a bypass procedure, shouldn't he find someone who is? I'm not sure of the protocol in this situation. I certainly would rather he not go ahead if he is not comfortable with the procedure. Can my brain handle two surgeries close together? Or does this increase my risk the second time around?. Thanks for responding to my post.

Dear Friend,
Well as you have got a very good idea about the surgeries related to aneurysms, you must have become aware about the comfort zone of the surgeons.
Why a surgeon goes for a particular procedure - is purely related to -
1) The need of the hour.
2) The comfort zone of the treating doctor.
So we really can't question as why he has explained you about like this way.
The maximum we can do , is to go for a second opinion. But really can't question the call taken by him, in the present situation.
If there is anything specific you want to know about the technical aspect, please ask me.
Regards...
