weakness in legs and arms

weakness in legs and arms

good morning, I have a problem that doctors do not agree on the solution. Three months ago I was operated on by microsurgery of lumbar disc herniation L4-L5 and right foramidal stenosis at the same level. in the first two months I recovered completely and had no pain. a month ago I spent an hour on foot, suddenly I noticed a severe weakness in both legs with sore quadriceps while a mild weakness in the arms, I can walk only very short distances and after the break but I recover increasing the distance I can walk less. physicians have found that heart is not, and they made me also evoked potential test that confirms that there is a problem in the cord. In the new resonances, the caller cervical disc herniation C6-C7 that I had years ago and did not give me any symptoms.
what I've noticed is that when I make an effort to walk over my options, the maximum principle is weak but when it exceeds a threshold, the symptoms disappear considerably but then again with the same intensity if I'm over depi 30 minutes, but doctors ruled out spinal canal stenosis because the MRI does not show any of that.
I would like to give me his opinion of which may be the cause, before making the decision to operate on the herniated cervical, or if you think it may be symptoms of this hernia.
thank you.

Dear Juanito,
I don't think that all this problem is due to cervical disc herniation. If the cervical disc is causing symptoms like upper limb pain, numbness, paresthesia, weakness and is not getting relieved with medication and physiotherapy, then only doctor's advice for the surgery. And it needs continuous followup for 6 weeks before surgery can be advised.
I would relate all these symptoms due to weakness of the muscles due to disuse atrophy.I would suggest you to have regular sessions with a good physiotherapist, who can work on your muscles so as to strengthen them for a better lifestyle activity.
Please discuss, if you need any further clarifications.

thank you very much for your reply, now I go every day to the physiotherapist. Muscle strength is the same as it had before the operation of lumbar hernia. the problem is that I still like the legs and arms tired, this symptom when I stand enpeora depi 30 minutes, or when I start to walk or run, but when I walked 20 minutes and I do not think I can, I recover and symptoms disappear for a while. The doctor tells me is the cervical hernia, but I have doubts, because the symptoms are more severe weakness in legs than arms, on the other hand I have strength in the legs and is not a problem because it would worsen muscular endurance with exertion, and improvement in my case.
Do you have any other ideas?
thank you very much again
