Hi, I feel so alone in this journey with my sweet little girl. She was hit by a car 3 years ago right in front of our home (driver's negligence) and was diagnosed soon after with spondylolisthesis. If not for the accident she could have possibly gone her whole life without having symptoms. But here we are today and she is a grade 2 with a TON of pain and now having numbness in her left foot, pain in both knees and a very strong urge to urinate all of the time with incontinence. We've seen a Urologist for the incontinence and stumbled upon a new (for us) but yet another congenital defect....kidney reflux. I've heard the kidney and spine develop at the same time in utero? Interesting, but not the reason for her problem. We are now trying to get into a Neurologist because her last MRI showed new swelling in her spine that could possibly be pressing on the nerves to her bladder. I need some ears to listen to me and offer some advice from other Mom's that know what I'm talking about. When I explain what's wrong with her and why she wears a back brace to other Mom's they look at me as though I have horns growing out of my head. Help?!?
