Hi, I was dx in Nov. 2006 with ms, my question to you is when your hands and feet go numb is it both sides at the same time.and your sensetive skin patches, do they ache or burn sometimes?
mae1.
Thanks for responding! yes it is usually always both hands/feet and yes achey, tingly too. I have recently had some burning patches on 2 spots on my leg? I also noticed a muscle spasm in my back the other night.
My Neurologist (!@#$!) said it was not MS because there was only one spot on MRI AND then he said it was a typo mistake, he didnt see anything the radiologist saw..
But thanks again, my patience is wearing thin these days... :)
Hi vago,
I think I would go for a second opinion. Im not for sure exactly whats going on with you but it sounds like deffenitly something is going on. my experience with ms has been the numbness and tingling in both hands, feet, arms, and legs, but with mine it is either one side or the other , never both sides at the same time. I have also experienced the burning achey sensetive skin sensation. sometimes it feels like someone has just poored warm water on me. and I deffenitly have the muscle twitches all over my body, sometimes in the weirdes places. I hope they find out what is going on with you soon.
p.s. please exuse my spelling.
GOOD LUCK! MAE1.
I think a mini-MS must exist and just not be discovered yet.
I am having a lot of your symptoms, tingling sensations, and I just went for an MRI. There was a spot on the brain, but the radiologist didn't think it was indicative of MS. I have my appt with neuro on Monday, but until then, I have no idea what it could be. I mean, MS has to start somewhere right? Everybody has to go through a period of time when they only have ONE lesion? Right?
I would go for a second opinion - try a specialist. National MS society can give you a list, but be aware, those are doctors who tell the society that they specialize in MS. I am sure you could find a rec on here as well. If my neuro doesn't know what to tell me on Monday or if symptoms continue despite whatever treatment he decides, I am going to look for another neuro.
Good luck!
I am having the same symptons and had an abnormal MRI with visible white patches. Doctor does not believe its MS, but rather some vascular disease, yet to be diagnosed.
