Arachnoid cyst/empty sella

by Kimmer333, Oct 11, 2007 09:54PM
Our 10 year old daughter has been experiencing vertigo for quite awhile now but has gotten worse in the last couple of months.  She had a MRI of her brain last week and they found she has a small arachnoid cyst on her left cranial nerve III and a partially empty sella.  We also took her to the eye doctor and there was some slight swelling of her left optic nerve.  We then went to a pediatric neurologist and were told that none of those three things are related and she's just experincing what she believes to be migranes even though she doesn't usually get a headache with the episodes.  Our daughter has also been a type 1 diabetic since the age of 4 and is on the 5th percentile for growth.  Is there any correlation between all these things?  Thank you, Concerned Parents
