I want to discuss the results of EEG report of my niece

My niece who is 7 months old is very very week and under weight.

Very little flesh on her body. Her bones of whole body are fully

visible in shapes and sizes. After her birth, she was very normal

rather a little overweight. but only within few days, she started

losing weight and hence after one month reached to a weight that

alarmed us all.
Then we got to the hospital and got her admitted. She was tested

in various ways (blood test, urine test, X-ray, eyes test, ear

test etc) and all tests showed normal activity. But she actually

neither responds to voice nor to light or movement around her

eyes. voice, movement or light are like nothing for her and she

does not show any gesture that can show us that she has sensed

these things. But she senses touch of people.
Keeping her this condition in view, doctor prescribed EEG test

for her and that has been done now. The contents of the EEG

report are reproduced below for your review

Introduction:
This routine EEG using the international 10-20 system was

performed on the asleep and restless patient.

Description:
The background activity shows 4-6 Hz theta activity superimposed

by 16-18 Hz beta activity of moderate voltages in a diffuse

manner.
Sleep activity is noted.
photic simulation was noted which was unremarkable.
Epileptoform activity: Nil
