Been sick since november neurological symptoms

I am a 30 year old woman (mother of 4)..In November of 2007 I became sick,,,I was diagnosed with CMV after much trials.  My cortisol levels went very low and I was extreamly sick until around mid January.  I started to feel better got to about 85% then started to get sick again...it has been up and down ever since, but I never get to 100%...I have also aquired new symptoms...Numbness/tingling in legs and hands, cold spots (cold from the inside..legs hands), bloating, menstral issues (shorter less flow than normal, restless legs), stiff sore hands, nausia, and fatigue.  I also have vision issues...my perception is off...like I have had 5 or 6 beers (eye sockets are sore & eyes hurt like they are dry but they aren't).  I have had an MRI & CT scane which showed nothing...and blood tests for almost every thing...the only thing that I do know is that i am very vit D deficiant and on the low end of normal for vit B 12. Any ideas??  I am frustrated and having a really hard time coping...

Hi,

How are you?
Vitamin B12 deficiency can cause sleep disturbances, sensory disturbances like tingling numbness, disturbed co ordination, depression, mania and psycosis.
Are you taking B12 supplements?
Please take a diet rich in milk, dairy products, fish, meat and fortified breakfast cereal.
Vitamin D deficiency can cause restless legs, and osteoporosis.
Vitamin D supplements will also help you.

As I have been reading your post, I notice that some of my symptoms are like yours...except mine have been going on for 4 years with no Dx except that I'm B12 deficient...so I now take injections of cyanocobalimin(B12). This deficiency can cause some numbness and weakness if it gets too low, but should resolve with higher levels in your body. Mine don't. I still have episodes regardless of the B12. I'm writing to you just to let you know that you're not alone. There are others out there like you and me that still don't have a Dx. Here are my symptoms: permanant rt side facial numbness(not droopy but it feels like it), rt arm and rt leg get numb and cold, dizzy, lightheaded, my rt hand has started to hurt in the joints and the hand as a whole. With my last episode which started on Aug 1, 2008, I had a heaviness in the middle of my chest and I lost my sense of taste for about 36 hrs. I have a new found respect for my 5 senses. And by the way, I'm a 28 year old mother of one 8 year old daughter. I've had numerous CT scans and MRI's but they can't find the cause of all this. I see my neuro today so maybe she'll have some new ideas. Just know that you're not alone...
