Brain TB

My husband age, 28 years old has been diagnosed with Brain TB after a CSF test.
He has been on ATT for 4 months now, first few months were ok, but since the last 1 month the medicines are causing very bad side effects.
He has very bad acidity every day, since last few days the situation has become worse, he is not able to stand properly, his hands are shivering all the time, and he has a blurred vision. He was much better before starting ATT.
Also he is taking Eptoin and Frisium for seizures.

please advice what to do.

hi

Thanks a lot for your reply, It was very helpful.
I had consulted doctor, and he had asked him to have Eptoin level test
and his eptoin level is 40 , double then the maximum, and now doctor has asked him to reduce the intake of eptoin.

Thank you for your question. Usually, ATT medicines have side effects, but severity varies with person to person. Pyrazinamide may increase uric acid level of body therefore one may experience severe body-pain and INH may cause vision problem. Therefore, I would recommend to consult his treating doctor who will precisely let you know about the outcome. Hope this helps.
