Hi:
Can anybody explain to me what does  the hypoplastic basilar artery terminates as the superior cellebellar arteries accounting for decreased caliber.  The posterior cerebral arteries originate from the anterior circulation means on a CTA of the Neck and Brain.  Thanks

Can this congenital anatomical variant of the Basilar Artery be fixed? Also can this Narrow caliber artery cause lightheadedness and a balance problem?  Thank you for your time.

Hi!
A hypoplastic basilar artery is a congenital anatomical variant and is often responsible for  pulsatile tinnitus is an individual due to blocked blood flow by narrow caliber of the artery. However, the individual may not suffer from any symptoms at all. Please consult your doctor regarding this. Hope this helps. Take care!
