CT Scan/MRI Results

Hi to everyone! Can you please take a look at my results?

CT Scan:
Very mild enlargement of the lateral and third ventricle of uncertain significance.

MRI (3 days later):
1 or 2 foci T2 FLAIR hyprtintensity in the left frontal lobe white mater, corona radiata. Significance is questionable.
Mild general atrophy, greater than expected for age.
incidental mega cisterna magna.

My story is very long and my life is not easy. Not much support from the doctors until recently. They would always say 'anxiety'. Symptoms: vertigo, unbalanced (feeling like drunk most of the time), brain jolts (sometimes 100 of them), tremors that I feel inside and also visible hand tremors, week legs (new) like I will just fall down, visual fogginess, concentration problems, sudden high blood pressure and tachycardia (15 min and it goes back to normal), right side of my face is numb.

I got appointment with my neurologist  but in ON I have to wait at least several months.

Thanks in advance for any input.

Have you been tested for gluten sensitivity/Celiac disease?  This can cause some weird symptoms.

Hi Poppy7402, no I haven't been tested for gluten sensitivity/Celiac disease
and I can't believe that i will ever get it even if I ask my GP for referral.
I myself was thinking about it after googling my symptoms and for about 6 months I restricted gluten from my diet as much as possible but then my blood pressure was 'crazy' and tachycardia most  of the time. I guess I was hungry. At that time I lost 16 pounds and I felt so weak that I ended up @ the emergency dep. and as always was discharged as having anxiety attack.

Thanks for your response,
Melina

Thank you very much Dr.Mathur for your interest and response.
I did some tests. I have chronic hematuria (10 years) with no explanation.
My WBC are in range 15-20 T. Apparently due to anxiety.   Persistent thickening of the left adrenal gland. No history  of  alcohol or drug abuse.  In fact I can't drink a glass of wine. I used to smoke but not anymore.
I have history of thyroid enlargement and was prescribed iodine but in Canada Dr. said that I should stop. When I last visited my family Dr. I asked him to check my hormones (precisely estrogen) but no success.
My cholesterol level is borderline high and I was prescribed statins which I took for 7 months. I had to stop due to extreme weakness in my legs and mental fogginess.
My greatest concern now is 'brain atrophy'. When i read CT scan report it said 'No abnormality in the brain parenchyma is visualized' but 4 days later non contrast MRI scan diagnosed 'mild generalized brain atrophy'.  Is it possible that something was happening and my brain shrank in 4 days or CT scan can not see atrophy. I am worried if I have something going on and have to wait two months to see neurologist. Also two different radiologist were interpreting results.
I know that you can't diagnose me but again if you have any idea or suggestion for me please respond.

Thanks again,
Melina

you have a hangover can be due to menopause. Low estrogen and low thyroid function is often the cause. Liver dysfunction (get liver enzymes done—liver function test), kidney dysfunction (get kidney function test done), and anemia can make a person appear drunk. Poor sleep pattern and sleep problems like sleep apnea too can cause brain fog. Sleep studies by sleep specialists can help diagnose this. Low Vit D or Vit B12 too could be the cause. Side effects of certain medications, street drugs and problems of balance (either in brain or ear) can also make a person appear drunk. Hence there are other causes than taking alcohol that can make a person appear drunk. Please consult a doctor as a comprehensive investigation is required to reach a diagnosis. Take care!
