Hello,
There are a number things you can do, besides acyclovir to help prevent outbreaks.
First, improving your immune system is very important, because it is when your immune system is low that the virus will come out of hiding. Besides a healthy diet full of vegetables, fruits, healthy meats, nuts, beans, etc, and regular exercise;
Spirulina (a superfood) added to a morning shake has strong antiviral properties.
Olive Leaf extract works very strongly for boosting your immunity.
Probiotics and a good multiviamin. Important immune boosting vitamins are C, D, the b-vitamns. Fish or flax oil, in a capsule or morning shake as well. - these are mostly to restore your health ans immune system, rather than fight the virus directly.
Lysine is good to take if you feel an outbreak coming on, but taking it conitnuously will actually decrease your immune system.
Homeopathic combination of Hypericum 200 C plus Arsenicum alb 200C in equal proportions 2xs a day regularly, 4xs during an outbreak
DMSO can be put topically onto the genital region and the lower back, which is where the virus stays dormant. This works great to prevent outbreaks, as well as heal them more quickly. It is normal for it to feel itchy for 5-10min
Finally, guided meditations )there are many good ones on youtube) in the evening where you focus white light and healing on the pelvic and lower back region, and when in doubt you can always ask for gods help in the healing. Consciousness can heal all things, and you are much more powerful than a virus- it need not control you
Best of luck, you will be okay :)
Hi,
Herpes 2 can cause neuralgia. Once the initial outbreak of herpes is over, the virus hides away in the nerve fibres adjacent to the infection site, where it remains dormant, causing no symptoms. It is possible for the dormant virus to be 'reactivated' in some people, in which case it travels back down the nerve to the skin surface. There is no cure for the herpes simplex virus and treatment is not essential, as an outbreak of genital herpes will usually clear up by itself. Please take pain killers if you find the pain debilitating, take adequate rest and lots of fluids. Please consult a neurosurgeon if the symptoms persist for a long time. Hope this helps you. Take care and regards!
