Congenital variation with stenosis

Hello, I am 28 years old and I have been having headaches, memory loss, pressure in my head, a ringing and hearing difficulty in my ear, and blurry vision among other things.  I recently had an MRI/MRA done and this is what it said.

The left artery is dominant and there is a short-segment stenosis of approximately 70-80% involving the proximal A2 segment of the anterior cerebral artery on the left.  The left A1 segment overall is slightly smaller than the right. No focal aneurysms or other areas of narrowing are identified.

What exactly does this mean and should I be concerned about stroke, aneurysms, embolisms or cerebral infarction? What should I do?

Hi.....did u omit some of the info from the report.....??...it didn't mention some of the normal issues for a brain MRI.....looks like a report for a cervical spine only.

Yes, I have the same symptoms and have a dx....I have cervical spinal stinosis, DDD,raynauds, scoliosis, tethered cord, chiari malformation.....and more....
I just recently found out about the scoliosis and TC.
U need to request the disk....they don't just give them unless u do ask. Also always request a report....that way u have all the info ur dr will be looking at....

if u have ur report....review it again and see if u left something out.

I pray ur Jan, Appoint goes well and u find out the source of ur issues.

Good luck

My scan was of my brain. It was w/ and w/o contrast.  No they did not give me a disk.

No, I haven't found anymore than this out. I am scheduled for an appointment with a neurologist in Jan. So hopefully I will find something out.

You have the same symptoms? I think my are gradually getting worse.  I hope I find something out soon!

Thanks,
freddysgirl

Hi and welcome to the forum!
I was wondering if ur MRI was w/wo contrast?.....and it was of the brain?...cervical spine?
do u have a copy of the MRI on disk along with the report?

What did ur dr say?
ur symptoms r similar to those of a condition I have and was wondering if u have more info?
To see if u think it is possible, check out the chiari forum and read thru the threads and our health pages.

Good luck
