Constant dizziness/pressure in the ck of my head

Ok so...27 male...

for the past month or so I have been dizzy/light headed.  At first I just kind of ignored it hoping it would just go away.  *wishful thinking*  Well, It never did.  Whenever I move my head around it becomes increasingly worse.  This is also accompanied by a stiff neck and pressure in the back of my head.  Every so often I will get a ringing in my ears as well.  Head ache comes along with this as well as nausea, But the headache is never THAT severe.  I also seem to be tired regardless to the amount of sleep I get, but I have no problems staying asleep or getting to sleep. I just feel sort of disconnected in a sense...And it's all I can think/worry about now.  A few years back i had a similar problem but with the dizziness but it wasnt really like this.  I was perscribed antivert, but it didnt help.  I just had to literally wait it out and it eventually got better.

the dizziniess/disorientation is usually worse in the mornings and go away after lunch then returns in the evening.  Not sure of the relevance but it might matter.  Its weird because it goes away whenever im actually doing anything physical....then once I stop it slowly set back in again.

Anyone with similar symptoms that can relate?

I have similar symptoms, and I have been diagnosed with Meniere's disease, a genetic disease of the inner ear.  Basically the symptoms of vertigo are dizziness, tilting feeling etc., ringing in the ears usually followed by a low humming sound, muffled hearing, hearing loss, and fullness in the ears.  I would see a doctor if I were you because it could be many other things.  You need to be examened, and just an fyi the diagnosis of Meniere's can take a long time because it is a mysterious disease.  There are few tests that can be done.  All a doctor will do is rule out everything else.  After a history of the symptoms, they will most likely diagnose you with this.  You need to find out if you have a history of it in your family.  My sister has it, so that's what prompted me about it.  There is no cure for Meniere's.  There are very few remedies for the symptoms too.  A low salt diet is recommended and sometimes water pills.  Do not take water pills without discussing with your doctor because there are many risks and adverse effects when using water pills.  You need to go to an ENT, which is an Ear Nose and Throat doctor.  Keep a journal too of the symptoms being very specific about them ie. how long it lasted, how often it happens.  This is the best tool in determining if you have Meniere's.  Good luck.  Hang in there. I know how bad vertigo can be.  It's dibilitating and worst of all very few people understand what you are going through.  It's hard to make other people realize how vertigo can control your life.  Tell them to sit on a merry-go-round all day and then try to function.
