Daily headache syndrome... what is it?

My 19-year old daughter was just diagnosed with daily headache syndrome and put on a powerful NSAID.
She has been having headaches for 2 1/2 years and had a stroke during that time as well. She has been (and still is) taking aspirin every day and had a bad nose bleed last night. Is this normal? What is the normal treatment for this diagnosis?  She is a college student, living at home and suffering. Please give me some advice on how to help her.

Hi,

How are you?
Chronic daily headache syndrome is a headache which is present for more than 15 days in a month. The symptoms can last for decades.
The main treatment options include:
Identify the stressors and reduce sources of stress.
Physical measures in the shoulder and neck area like physical therapy and acupuncture
Avoidance of analgesics to break the cycle
Use of effective medications like antidepressants and antiepileptics.

Hope this information is helpful to you.
