Dandy Walker Syndrome

by Higginz, Sep 11, 2007 09:38AM
Hello,

I have or had Dandy Walker Syndrome at birth along with Hydrocephalus.  I was given a shunt and since then have had many revisions to lengthen the tub etc.  I have beat just about every specualtion the Dr.'s gave my parents, I would not walk right, be uncoordinated, no sports, etc. I was an all star athlete throughout and college grad etc.  I am now 27 and want to know if all of this is hereditary. I do not want to have my children go through this. Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks
Brian,
