Sudden Sharp Head Pain in Toddler

I've noticed in the past few months, my 2 1/2 year old seems to be experiencing sudden pain in the back of his head.  He will be playing normally (no jumping/running or anything crazy) and then all of a sudden he will blink his eyes hard a few times.  His eyes don't roll back in his head so it's not a seziure...it's just like his head hurts and he shuts them and blinks.  It only lasts a few seconds.  I only notice it once a week or even less infrequently, but enough that I've taken notice of it.  He did it this morning when I was looking right at him.  I said "what just happened" and he said "itch" and rubbed the back of his head.  He doesn't cry, so it could be happening more and I'm just not noticing it.   There are no other wierd sypmptoms and it goes as quick as it came.  Are these just "normal" pains or should I be worried?  I'm considering calling the Peditrician but don't know if I'm overreacting.  Never noticed anything like this in my 2 other boys.  I know I'm not crazy...something is going on.  Anyone noticed the same thing in their child and had tests done?

My. 33 month old also does this . This time it's happened twice this week and she does have swollen nodes in back of neck and snotty nose but I'm not sure if the other times when it happened she had this or not? Curious to know if all of these children having these symptoms r up to date w vaccines wondering about side effects?!??

I am 22 and have been having the same problem for as long as I can remember. Its like I hot sharp stabbing pain in the back of my head. It happens out of no where I could just be sitting down and Ill move my head and it happens. My doctor told me that its probably just a nerve in my spine getting pinched really quickly.

My name is Amanda, i have a 3 year old boy and he gets these sudden onset pains accept he sobs uncontrollably and I cannot sooth or comfort him. They last only moments and then he resumes normal activity. When i ask him he said "My head is hurting bad". I have consulted is pediatrician and was asked to video record an episode...not so easy. He said its not normal for headaches in children that young and that he isnt sure if he should be worried or not. Ill be calling him in the morning to further the discussion.I can update you if youd like.
