I've noticed in the past few months, my 2 1/2 year old seems to be experiencing sudden pain in the back of his head. He will be playing normally (no jumping/running or anything crazy) and then all of a sudden he will blink his eyes hard a few times. His eyes don't roll back in his head so it's not a seziure...it's just like his head hurts and he shuts them and blinks. It only lasts a few seconds. I only notice it once a week or even less infrequently, but enough that I've taken notice of it. He did it this morning when I was looking right at him. I said "what just happened" and he said "itch" and rubbed the back of his head. He doesn't cry, so it could be happening more and I'm just not noticing it. There are no other wierd sypmptoms and it goes as quick as it came. Are these just "normal" pains or should I be worried? I'm considering calling the Peditrician but don't know if I'm overreacting. Never noticed anything like this in my 2 other boys. I know I'm not crazy...something is going on. Anyone noticed the same thing in their child and had tests done?
