Dizziness C4-C5

I have C4-C5 hierniation with mild impingement on the spine. Impingement is on the right side. My problem is dizziness. I get dizzy and confused. This condition comes from neck movement. I also get frequent muscle spasms in the neck. I have no pain. Some tingling in hand fingers (ulnar neuropathy/carporal tunnel).
I have been recommended surgery by Neurosurgenon. My Neurologist is helping me by physio therapy for past 3 months. My symptom of dizziness is coming and going (more recently it is coming).
My ears test show, that dizziness is not from ears.
Please advice.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I am undegoing physio for last 8 weeks. Condiiton is not improved significantly. Neck brace helps... but Neurogist says - no brace, as it will weaken my neck muscles.

This all started all of a sudden, is it possible that this emerges suddenly? Also, MRI and Xray did not show spondlysis. Doctors have said this is Cervical Spondolysis.

Hi,
Your symptoms may be due to cervical spondylosis Cervical spondylosis is caused by degenerative changes in the bones and intervertebral disks of the neck. A less technical name for this condition is osteoarthritis of the neck, or degenerative disk disease of the neck.. The most common symptom is stiff neck which is most often one of the very first signs. Neck stiffness tends to grow progressively worse over time. Along with pain, cervical spondylosis can be accompanied by parathesias and muscle weakness in the neck, shoulders, arms and hands, and a syndrome called “numb, clumsy hands”. Dizziness may occur on neck movement .Management plan includes use of a neck brace to immobilize the neck ,medication ,physical therapy ,possible traction and epidurals, depending on the findings from diagnostic imaging tests. In extreme cases, surgery is required . Please discuss the use of traction and neck collar with the neurologist to minimize dizziness by stabilizing the neck . Hope this helps you . Take care and regards !
