Elbow Pain

Hi,
Every so often I get these horrible shooting pains that are completely isolated to my elbow joint (the bony area). They are so strong that I've toppled over a couple times in the past when it's hit me. It lasts for a split second and then it's gone. I can use my arm like normal with no pain and I just move it (usually when I move it up around my shoulder height, and in any direction from there) and it hits me. This lasts only a day or two at a time. I am prone to tendon issues in many other joints, but this pain feels nothing like it, Could it be just because it's in the elbow? or something else?

The causes of your elbow symptoms could be amongst – Tendinitis ( Lateral and Median epicondylitis ) , Olecrenon bursitis , Fractures , Sprain , Arthritis , Cellulitis , Infected elbow joint , Tumours or Ulnar nerve entrapment .
