I am experiencing numbness and shaking in my right leg for 30 second to a minute then it is okay then it starts again. I had an on the job injury in 2005 which was diagnoised as a tear at L4-5 and two buldging and the insurance company settled the case. Now, almost two years after the insurance settled I am having problems. This problem is unlike the injury suffered on the job. I have continued to see a Workers Comppensation doctor just to be sure and after a follow up MRI he said there is nothing we can do but live with it.
Any suggestions? Chiropactor or perhaps neurologist?
I continue to work as an aircraft mechanic on a government contract and the weakness concerns me when I climb up on aircraft to help the pilots strap in. If my leg goes out when I am ten to twelve feet off of the ground I can foresee a serious problem.
Thank you for your tie and consideration.

I accidently posted before finishing re-reading the post, the back pain was about 6-12 inches above my hips, and only lasted for 10-20 seconds, though i didn't move for probably a minute because i was afraid i'd hurt something, since it happened as i was sitting down.
The right toes have always been the leading indicators, and seem to be falling asleep permanently, with identical symptoms following in my left hand and then left foot and (still only slightly) right hand.
It is all also worst late at night or when i'm more tired / sleeping less then 7 hours a night.
