dizziness

I am 36 yrs old female. i have been suffering with dizziness constantly, i dont feel faint or off balance, my temples just feel pressured and tight at times and feels sore when i press on them, i also feel some pressure in my teeth, mostly the back ones.
started about 11/2 year ago. i also have palpitations at times, i may be free from it for 2-3 months then it comes back again. i have suffered from insomnia as well but not constantly. my main problem at this point is the dizziness, i dont feel it while lying down.
thank u for ur time, awaiting ur response.
Deni.

Thank you for ur reply Md and daze, i will follow up and let u know how it all turns out. i should let u know that i have had many blood tests done, glucose, ecg etc and all were normal. i did have an mri on one side about 2 years ago because i felt some numbness but it was normal. i had depression and some anxiety at that time which was brought on by my not feeling well. i was stressed out.
i have been wondering if it could be just hormones regarding the fact that i had tubial ligation 4 years ago and i may be having pre menopause symptoms. or some anxiety, i am not sure.
you should also know that i am very fit and i practice martial arts and jogging long distance, i have no problem with oxygen there. i have 4 children. thank you again jain. if u have any more suggestion i will so love to hear them. have a great day.

Hi,
How are you feeling now?
The term dizziness is used by pts to describe a variety of head sensations or gait unsteadiness. I think what you are feeling is faintness or light headedness.
Faintness is usually described as light-headedness followed by visual blurring and postural swaying. In your case you are feeling pressured and your temples feel sore.
It is a symptom of insufficient blood, oxygen, or, rarely, glucose supply to the brain. It can occur prior to a syncopal event of any etiology and with hyperventilation or hypoglycemia. Lightheadedness can also occur as an aura before a seizure.
I think you should be consulting a physician, though cardiologist would be more preferable and ENT specialist.
If required you can get a MRI scan and MR Angio too for further evaluation.
Hope this helps you.
Keep me informed if you have any queries.
Bye.
