Eye Sight after Pituitary Adenoma

Eye Sight after Pituitary Adenoma

My Dad had Pituitary Adenoma and went through a surgery. Seems his nerves leading to the eyes has been damaged and hence his vision is blurred. Peripheral Vision is almost NIL. Is this usually normal ? Is there any successful treatment that can regenerate these nerves ? Or any other alternative ?

It would depend on the extent of the damage. My son may have to have pituitary surgery soon, and I am worried about his eyesight afterward.
I remember reading something about Nerve Growth Factor, and healing nerves, two years ago. I'll have to find that info again. A neuro-ophthalmologist may be able to help.
All the B vitamins are important in nerve function. To start with, make sure your Dad isn't deficient in these.
