Fasciculation

I'm 16 and I'm having fasciculation in my legs, arms, and eyebrows and eyelids. I've tried doing some research on the internet but really can't find anything. Sometimes the twitching can go on for several seconds to several minutes before stopping and it is very annoying when I try to go to sleep and can't because of the twitching. Can anyone help?

Hi,
I think you are most probably suffering from benign fasciculation syndrome, which can be caused by excessive anxiety, sudafed, caffeine, bronchodilators like proventil, combivent, medications used to treat attention deficit disorders. Sometimes magnesium deficiency can cause fasciculations. Deficiency can occur due to inadequate intake or diahrrea. Treatment with supplements or adequate intake of magnesium rich food like bananas, almonds usually works.Hope this helps!
