My, my ....see what answers I can give when I don't get all the facts!! lol Quix
I had a muscle biopsy on my back. No tube down my throat. All done on local. I was going to call them today because I have never had this much trouble with my hernia and now I am experincing quite a bit of shortness of breath. I was just wondering if the position of my surgery ( I was on my stomach) had something to do with it.
The hiccups started about 4 months ago. They come after I eat or drink anything, but thankfully I can get rid of them pretty darn quickly.
I am sorry your hands are giving you so many problems because you are such an assest to all of us!!!
I am so grateful to have found you and this sight

What kind of surgery did you have? You never told us. A couple things. Yes, it can be very hard to swallow if you have been under general anesthesia. The tube they put in always causes a bit of pressure irritation and it does feel hard - or sometimes achey - to swallow. It gradually wears off in a few days.
The hicupps are also frequent after anesthesia. They go away too.
The shaking chills are also frequent in the immediate post-op period. If they persist, put in a call to your anesthesiologist. Yes, you can contact them for questions about post-anesthesia reactions. Just call the Anesthesia office at the hospital and leave a message.
Thanks for the kind words. I see the message from Peach and I will get to the answer, but today is a wretched day. My hands are trenmoring and I've had to correct every other word I type. I'll talk more later.
