Hello,
I have a 1 year old baby boy who still has some head lag when pulled to a sitting position from a prone position. His head still feels wobbly though he has gotten quite far with the head control. There are two major concerns that I see with his head: (a.) He tends to slouch as in supporting his head with his shoulders instead of his neck, and (b.) he tends to tilt his head with his chin pointing to the left.
He has been kind of slow to reach his gross motor milestones, like he started to sit independently at 8.5 months, army crawled at 7.5 months, crawled at 10.5 months, began to pull to standing at 9 months, and walk along the furniture at around 11 months. He was on time with rolling though. I guess because of his poor neck control he got delayed with sitting and other things.
Now, I have spoken to his ped a couple of times and he is okay with the overall progress. He feels that he is slower than the usual but we shouldn't sound off the alarm bells yet. However I am wanting to know what can possibly be wrong in here? I would appreciate any feedbacks or advices you may have.
Btw, just wanted to mention this: At 1 years he points, waves bye bye, signs off words, says a few easy words like "mum", "bye" and "papa", is social and affectionate and seems like a sharp boy to me. Its just his general wobbliness that concerns me more.
Thank you so much for reading through!
