Help! Severe meralgia paresthetica

Help! Severe meralgia paresthetica

I have been diagnosed with meralgia paresthetica, lumbar spondylosis, lumbar stenosis and disc buldge at L4-L5. I totally fit all the criteria for bilateral meralgia paresthetica except one thing. I have a hard time walking. My legs are very unsteady and weak. They are getting increasingly worse. I do take pain meds and muscle relaxers to help me. I have a spinal cord stimulator implanted for my nerve entrapment in my abdomen. I had the lead replaced and came out with this. I was heavy but have lost the weight I need to. I have tried every drug that my neurologist/pain management doctor thought could possibly help, but it has not. The pain is severe, and I can sleep very little at night-waking up screaming in pain. I've tried injections, but that did not help. A lumbar epidural did help my low back pain, but did nothing for my legs. What could the problem with my legs be? Have I been misdiagnosed? I'm calling Emory University and getting an appt with a neurosurgeon re: surgery for the meralgia paresthetica. I no longer have a meaningful life due to the great deal of pain. Any help or advice anyone can give would be appreciated. I cannot have a MRI due to the spinal cord stimulator, but had a CT Scan that showed the above diagnoses. If anyone has any suggestions re: how to reduce the pain or other possible diagnoses, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much
