sudden unexplained episode of shaking of head and hands

My 44 year old male cousin was sitting in a meeting and suddenly experienced uncontrollable shaking in his hands and head; his face also became flushed and palms sweaty. I was not there but he said it was noticeable to everyone, and lasted for what seemed like forever, but he estimated about 20 minutes. He had no changes in diet, activity, is on no medications, etc. Any ideas what could cause this? Should he see a doctor or have gone to the ER?

He should go see a neurologist. To me it almost sounds like he was having a seizure. They normally do not last that long but you never know.
