How bad is my MRI? Interpretation: The cervical vertebral bodies maintain normal height and alignment. There is multilevel disc dessiccation.
At C2-3, there is no stenosis.
At C3-4, there is a small posterior disc osteophyte complex but no significant stenosis.
At C4-5, there is a posterior disc osteophyte complex with mild narrowing of the AP diameter of the canal.
At C5-6, there is a prominent right paracentral disc osteophtye complex/protrusion with mass effect on the cord. There is extension into the right neural foramen resulting in severe right neural foraminal stenosis.
At C6-7, there is a posterior disc osteophyte complex and there is mild canal stenosis. There is moderate right and mild left neural foraminal stenosis. There is a probable nerve root sheath cyst on the right.
At C7-T1, there is no significant stenosis. A small cyst is also noted within the right neural foramina at this level.
The cord signal appears normal.
Impression: Degenerative change most pronounced at c5-6 where there is a large right paracentral disc protrusion/osteophyte complex with mass effect on the cord and severe right neural foraminal stenosis. Neurosurgical consultation is advised.
