Hyperreflexia and Babinski

37Y Male, no history of injury / surgery.

Original visit 4 1/2 yrs ago, main SX pain in arms and legs, headaches.  Blood panel normal, CT normal.
2006/2007  visits Blood panels normal.  2008 ANA and CPK normal.

I have been told by 3 GP that I have Hyperreflexia and Babinski in my right leg.  I also have had MRI of Brain, C-Spine, L-Spine with the only findings of Stenosis and buldging - possiple free-floating fragments in L3/L4/L5/S1.  I have been dealing with recurring pain in arms and legs along with tingling-needles (Hands/Feet) and tremors.  Most notibly in the right leg, there are persistent fasculations and permanent loss of feeling.   Neuro tests (EMG / NCS) showed only minor problems (ulnar entrapment).  Also noted was wasting of the extensor digitorum brevis muscle on left foot - noted as no significance. (However right extensor digitorum brevis muscle seems to get inflamed alot). I have a LP scheduled for next week, as well as a VEP.

Anecdotal? symtpoms: Right leg heavy (most of the time), difficulty swallowing (feels like I forgot how at times - 2-4x / week), dizzyness most days (rare bout with true vertigo- 2-4x / yr), fatigue most days, spasms in neck 2-4x / mo (near carotid artery), constipation / bladder issues weekly, tinnitus most of the time, occasional phantosmia (Kerosene - 2-5 x / year)

Are there any suggestions or directions to look?
I don't feel terrible, but SX do seem to be increasing - and are an annoyance.

Thanks!  I appriciate this forum and your time / response.  This is a great tool for the public!

Hi - I'm pretty sure that patients w/ Multiple Sclerosis often present w/ hypereflexia and a positive Babinski reflex - however, there is so much more that goes into a dx. of MS.

Have you been over to the MS forum?  You can copy and paste this very message to save yourself from re-creating it.

Everyone there is so helpful and we all have some of the same symptoms you describe -my dx. is Fibromyalgia, but I have what seem to be a lot of neurological symptoms.

Also, have you seen a  Neurologist or MS specialist?  Do you know what strength the machines were that you had you MRI's on?

Best wishes --
