Inability to sneeze??

About a week ago I kept having spells where I couldn't sneeze. I kept getting the tingling in the nose but couldn't transfer it to a sneeze. This would only happen a few times and the rest of the time I could sneeze. Well, I have a 'brillliant' idea and decided to get online to see what the deal was (DUMB!!)...read that it could be a tumor on the medulla. Ever since then I have not been able to sneeze for the life of me. I have tried everything...light, pepper, etc.

So I am pretty confident it is all mental...but it's driving me insane not being able to CHOO! Any ideas???

Hi,
What I meant was that it is must for you to meet your physician for a proper clinical examination.
Because just the history is not sufficient to comment.

Sonu-thanks for your reply. What do you mean an absolute necessity?? Is it a common problem that you know of? What happens now is every time I feel a sneeze even remotely coming on I say "OK, this is the one..." and so on and I think that is deterring me from being able to blow!

Hi,
Kindly relax yourself.
It would not be possible to comment with any diagnosis in mind. Clinical examination is an absolute necessity .
Hence meet your doctor, explain him in detail your symptomatology and discuss with him all the options regarding diagnosis and further management.
