Possible spine fliud leakage

A Few yrs ago I had a blood patch done to stop a spinal fluid leak, everything was fine the headaches were gone!  Then this past July I fell a motel and herniated 2 discs. About 2 weeks ago I started getting this spongy fluid feeling buldge in my back, and I have started to have some headaches.Could this be a spinal fluid leak? Could the fall caused the blood patch to tear open?

Yes after they done the blood patch my headache was gone immediately.I live in Terre Haute IN. I had to have a spinal tap, cause they thought I had MS ,when the Dr went in my back the nurse dropped the tube connected to the needle. When they done the blood patch they didnt use a xray,I was at a little bandaid station in Effingham IL. It seem like it gets alittle better when i lay down, and yes they hav done a MRI since the fall. Thks

Yes the fall could have.  DId your headache go IMMEDIATELY away after the blood patch? Where do u live?  It would be hard to believe years later that the leak restarted....but like i said it is possoble...along with A SPONTANEUOS leak, just from the fall.  Just if you have another blood patch or epidural injection make SURE they are doing it with an Xray guided needle...a FLUROSCOPE!!  How did you originally get the first leak?  Do you feel immediately better being lied down right now, headache wise.  Have they done an MRI of lumbar since your fall>alot of times the leaks do not show up on film.  Hope i have answered some ofyour concern feel free to PM me if you have to ask something else
