MS doesn't always show up on MRIs in the beginning of the disease (and apparently sometimes never shows up on MRI and is dxd by LP), so just because your MRI was normal doesn't mean MS is 100% excluded. Did you have an MRI of your brain or c-spine? I'm not sure if symptoms from MS could last five months non-stop after initial onset (you mentioned since November). That is something you could ask your doctor if you wanted. You did say it was on one side only, so what do they tell you they think it is?
Hi, I commented on previous post from April 19th..."Dizziness, tingling, and heaviness in left arm"
My symptoms are very similar, Dr. called it Left hemi-body numbness.
I too have had numerous tests, and Neuro. admits he doesn't have a clue as to what's causing it. He stated I have had MRI with latest most state of the art machine...... GE 3T MRI... and that it's possible that it's too early for whatever it is, to show up in other tests. All so far have been neg. except for MRI which shows 5 hyperintense lesions in frontal white matter on Flair imaging.
Neuro also said "we may never find the cause".....which is really driving me nuts, I really don't care what he tells me, good or bad, as long as I hear something...... I DON"T LIKE NOT KNOWING!!!!!!
Like the previous post, if it's MS, it can take months or years to get definite diagnosis....it evolves over time.
Hope this helps!
thanks, I had an MRI of my brain and spine, and aside from Degenerative Disk Dz (which is not the cause of this per both Drs.) everything seems normal. They really don't know what to tell me other than what its not. Thanks for the support and the info.
