Leg Weakness, Arm weakness

How do you know if your symptoms are related to cervical stenosis or possible early MS? Is there a way to tell the difference?  I developed ON in 9/07. Since then have had bouts of severe leg weakness (mostly right side but some on the left), right arm weak, bladder problems, pins and needles, spasticity in quad muscles, hyper reflexes, and Dx w/ Llerhmettes too.  Sx last about 2 months then resolve.  Ok, all MS studies are neg.  MRI showed "Mod to Severe Cervical stenosis at C5 - C6 with disk bulge touching the anterior cord."  Dr didn't mention that finding with me at all.  I didn't find out about that till I requested my own records.  I don't have neck pain etc.  The symptoms above lasted 3 months all together and then went away.  So,......... Could this be Stenosis or likely early MS just  not evident yet?????  I'm in nursing school so either way i can't pursue treatment till I'm graduated.  Oh ya, I'm a 37 w/f w/ WT of #128 in good health.  Cervical stenosis likely related to MVA 2002 from a head on collision.
