Long term Prognosis- Pilocytic astrocytoma

Long term Prognosis- Pilocytic astrocytoma

My healthy 16 year old daughter had a 3.1 cm pilocytic astocytoma  (pilomyxoid variant) Grade 1 removed February 3rd. Most of the tumor was removed except for the shell or casing. Tumor originated in optic chasm. We will be meeting with a pediatric onocologist for further treatment reccomendations this week. What is the long term prognosis for a child this age?  What is reccomended treatment after surgery? What organization has done the most research and treatment specific to this type of tumor?

I have the final pathology report if needed for further detail on tumor description.

thank you

Emily
