Hi,
You are right in assuming that foraminal narrowing is Stenosis. Spinal Stenosis means a narrowing of a normally larger spinal canal or neuroforamen through which spinal nerves exit the spinal column. Stenosis disorder is commonly associated with aging. Some people are predisposed to spinal stenosis genetically or it may be caused by a congenital condition.
Neurogenic changes means changes related to nerves. If the changes are in a leg, cause could be Sciatica. Sciatica is a set of symptoms including pain that could be caused by compression and/or irritation of one of five nerve roots that give rise to the sciatic nerve, or by compression or irritation of the sciatic nerve itself. The pain of Sciatica is felt in the lower back, buttock, and/or various parts of the leg and foot. In addition to severe pain, there may be numbness, muscular weakness, numbness or tingling and difficulty in moving or controlling the leg. Typically, the symptoms are only felt on one side of the body. Please consult the neurologist for the management of symptoms. Hope this helps you. Take care and regards!
