Hi,
The treatment will depend on the type of thyroid problem she has. If it is hyperthyroidism or in other words there is excessive production of thyroid hormone then anti thyroid medication are given to counteract the effect of thyroid hormone.
If she has hypothyroidism ie low production of thyroid hormone, then thyroxine is given.
The presence of thyroid disorder does explain some of the MRI findings like empty sella.
She is 50 years old and she have a thyroid problum.
Thanking you your reply.
I read your email and i hope that you select the best remedy for my wife.I live in Pakistan.
Hi,
What symptoms does your wife have? How old is she?
MRI shows ischemic areas in the brain. These ischemic areas could be as are a result of multiple strokes.
Empty sella turcica can occur due to enlargement of pituitary gland as a result of pregnancy or endocrine disorder. It is often associated with thyroid disorders, obesity, raised intracranial tension.
A correlation with clinical symptoms will help in making an exact diagnosis.
