Migraine or worse?

My girlfriend has had migraines for most of her life, it runs in her immediate family. Symptoms include sharp pain in the back of her head and/or neck, dizziness, blurry vision, loss of hearing or ringing in her ears and sometimes feels like she's going to pass out.  She had a CT scan and they said it was clean but she's scared.  Is it just really bad headaches or could they have missed something worse?

Headaches, blurry vision and fainting are common symptoms of a pituitary lesion. An MRI should be able to detect this.
Unknown food allergies can contribute to severe migraines. A registered nutritionist can do testing to find a cause.

Thanks for the response.  What exactly are soft tissue pathologies and what can they do?

Hi,

How are you?
From the symptoms it seems to be migraine. Migraine is a vascular headache which causes one sided throbbing headache, neck stiffness, photophobia, ringing in the ears, one sided body weakness, dizziness and nausea.
If the CT scan is clear and she has no other neurological symptoms possibility of other causes can be ruled out.
Please ask her to take treatment for migraine. If her symptoms do not improve she can go for a MRI of head. MRI is a useful tool to identify soft tissue pathologies. Take care!
