Mitochondrial Myopathy - tremors

I involunitarily starting shaking my head from side to side.  Once I notice it - I try to stop it.  Does anyone else find this happening?  What do you do about it?

I suppose it's mainly my head.  It's a problem sitting in the dentist chair.  The staff do their best when that happens.  It shakes in a no-no movement.   My doctor gave me a low dose beta-blocker, and it blocks most of it out.  We are still working on it.
Thank you very much.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi there. These are most likely essential tremors, a slowly progressive distressing medical condition causing uncontrollable shaking or trembling in the affected part of the body. It could affect head, hands, feet, jaw, trunk, mouth and tongue. Essential tremor causes uncontrollable shaking when the affected part is in use and parkinson’s the tremor will occur when the hands are at rest and ET any part of the body could be affected unlike Parkinson’s affecting only hands. A head tremor follows either a no- no or a yes- yes movement. This may get aggravated by extremes of temperature, stress etc. some relief is achieved with beta-blockers, anti convulsants. You need to consult a medical practitioner for evaluation of symptoms; this could be Parkinson’s, thyroid problems or multiple sclerosis. Hope this helps. Take care.
