I thought I might get another opinion, since my doctors haven't figured out whats going on with me. I have narcolepsy, restlessRestless leg syndrome legs and I'm bi-polar (besides other problems). Anyway this is what's going on now. I've started (I guess you would have to say going asleep alot during the day time) I'm on the computer, I get real tired and I must fall asleep, because I jerk real hard and come too, but then in 5 or 15 minutes I do it again, over and over and over again. So I'm on Addrell, Mira-Pex and ProzacProzac Prozac weekly and TegretolDrug rash, tegretol Tegretol Tegretol xr + more. I have gotten where I don't sleep at night, maybe 2 hours to 3, but I have started doing things in my sleep, I know this because I lite up and somewhere in there I fall asleep and burnAirway burn Burn, blister - close-up Burn, thermal - close-up Burns Burns - resources Eye burning - itching and discharge First degree burn Heartburn Heartburn prevention Minor burn - first aid - series Painful swallowing myself, but I'm also talking to people, which at the beginning I know what I'm doing, but then I guess I fall asleep and they tell me what I said and did. Now the jerking is really bad, plus my Mira-pex I have had to increase for my legs. They don't know which medicine could be causing me to do this. The other symptom that might go with these health issues, is that when I get real tired my blood pressurePressure ulcer goes really low. There's no way for me to check my medicines, even though I think it could be the Tegretol. Could one thing hook all these problems together? Low Blood Pressure (88/55) makes me sleepy just like the narcolepsy and they have no idea why it goes low. I'm also on cholestral medicine and have two stints in my heart values. Oh the best one of all, I'm having hallucinations, they were just dark, but now they are in color. Does anyone have an opinion that I might suggest to one of my doctors. The smoking and not knowing I am, worries me, the hallucinations seem so real and I do get scared at times, the restless legs we have had to increase my Mira-Pex, and no I can not take xyzrem (not sure of spelling). I was on it, but after awhile, I couldn't breath, my chest was tight and my left arm heart, the only thing they found out was I might of had a mild stroke, but that is the night I had to stay over, because my blood pressure kept going low. I hope this makes sense, because my mind every now and then goes faster than I can type, so my emails don't make sense. Any suggestions? Thank You I have one more but it will be on a different subject, it's my grandson. Whats a Tag?
All I know is that when I developed tardive dyskinesia it started out as what I thought was insomnia and bizzare hallucinations. But the sleep test showed nocturnal spasms. Now I know having advanced tardive dyskinesia it was tardive myoclonus (full body spasms) and the hallucinations were what they are identifying as tardive psychosis. There are occassional cases of tardive dyskinesia from Prozac but akathesia (temporary motor restlessness) is common. Of course it depends on what medications you were on in the past. For more information google "Patient Education Tardive Dyskinesia". SSRI's are not listed there but it has happenned on occasion and you may have been on something that caused it in the past. Either way a consultation with a movement disorders specialist would be able to rule this out as a possibility. The two variants I have are rare (tardive myoclonus) and new to medical science (tardive psychosis) but a sleep study could confirm what's happenning overnight to see exactly what it is and a neurologist would be able to authorize that.
