Neurological problem or just chronic sinusitis?

Hi.
I am an 18-yr old male and I have recently been experiencing some unusual symptoms. I went to my primary care physician about a week and a half ago because of headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, and eye-twitching. I had never had such a combo of symptoms, so I assumed the worst, of course, something neurological maybe (especially because my mother passed away from brain cancer two years ago). However, all tests appeared fine: EKG, normal; blood work, normal (aside from slightly high potassium, but was retested in another lab and everything was perfectly fine); and MRI without contrast, normal EXCEPT for inflamed sinuses. Doctor diagnosed sinusitis and put me on 10-day regimen of Augmentin (I am due to finish this weekend). The lightheadedness has improved and is almost completely gone, but I still do not feel right and other symptoms remain.

My biggest problem right now is extreme fatigue. I seem always to be tired, and I have been getting plenty of rest, usually at least nine hours a night. The other day I had a 10-hr night of sleep, woke up, and three hours later, was extremely drowsy again. Took a three hour nap and still felt so lethargic. Oddly it seems to improve at night, but I have hypothesized it might be because that’s when I’m “supposed” to feel tired so I don’t notice it as much. I mention this because I have read many articles about how chronic fatigue and sinusitis have recently been linked, and that it is believed by many physicians now that fatigue may be one of the best indicators of a sinus issue. I have no problem believing this, and all my symptoms seem to fit sinusitis: headache (always on the right side of my head), dizziness, even the eye twitching because of nerves which run through/near the sinuses and which, if irritated, can cause muscle spasms. The headaches haven’t been too bad lately, but when I have them, I almost feel like they may be originating from the right side of my neck and radiating towards my right temple near my ear (I had an ear infection a couple of months ago, put on z-pac, don’t know if it ever went away). I find myself cracking my neck a lot, and also cracking/popping my jaw to alleviate some pain (which is more annoying than excruciating). Also, and this has been happening for a long time so I don’t know if it’s connected, I have been having lots of random muscle twitching in basically any and every part of my body. I’m actually not too concerned about this because I understand benign muscle twitching is quite common, and plus it seems to get worse or become more noticeable if I think about it deliberately (may be related to anxiety?) However, it’s hard to put my finger on it, but I still don’t feel right. Sometimes it feels that my whole body is vibrating, though I am not visibly trembling. Often my brain feels like it’s shaking inside my skull, odd as it sounds, and I feel like my head is pounding, as if I am suddenly VERY aware of the blood pumping through my head. This is usually the worst when I am relaxing or about to sleep. Sometimes I wake up suddenly and feel like my body is trembling but it’s not. It’s quite scary, not painful, just disconcerting. In addition, and I don’t know if this has any relation, but for the past 2 weeks I have been having very loose stool, sometimes diarrhea, 4-5 times a day. My appetite is maybe a little less than usual, but still pretty good, and I have been staying very hydrated. (Could the loose stool be in response to antibiotics/ anxiety over my symptoms?)

Oh, and about two weeks ago, I noticed I kept smelling this sort of grape scent, but it seems to have gone away oddly, and now my nose trouble is a constant stuffed feeling, almost like extremely narrow nasal passages and difficulty smelling things.

Basically, it seems that my symptoms could very easily be due to CHRONIC sinusitis, especially considering my past (allergies since I was very young, always have had a kind of “clogged” nose but never thought it was abnormal). However, if this is true, I fear that the antiobiotics may be doing nothing because of the scarce blood supply to the sinuses, AND because it may be fungal or viral. I am strongly considering seeing an ENT, but I also still have fears that it may be neurological, and all sorts of crazy thoughts have gone through my mind: MS, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, brain infection (can that spread from sinuses?), a missed growth?? Could it even be Chiari malformation? (nothing said after MRI examination but could they have missed it?) I just am very stressed about this, slightly paranoid, especially because I move into college in a couple days and do not want to deal with all these symptoms (in fact my doctor suggested a lot of my symptoms may be in response to the difficult transition and anxiety about college, but I don’t know, these symptoms are very real to me). Is this all psychological, partially, or completely physiological? I would appreciate ANY advice you can give. I just want to feel like me again! Thanks!

(just a random thought, can a growth spurt cause one to feel out of whack like this? Because I just recently grew more, as in while I have been feeling this way, and I haven’t grown in over a year)

Everyone one of you needs to get second third and fourth opinions from various ENTs not your general practitioner guys!!❤️❤️ Also everyone should check for mold in their house. If that one person who responded had mold on their windowsill..... if you have mold there you probably have mold in your walls. All these problems sound like hidden mold and the reaction to it.

I would recommend checking out

http://www.natural-solutions-for-muscle-pain.com/chronic-sinus-headaches.html

to see if what you have is a sinus problem or a muscle problem.  You may not even realise it's a muscle problem.

"Symptoms of chronic sinus headaches

So how can you tell where your chronic sinus headaches are coming from? The pain will usually be in the cheek bones, forehead, and bridge of the nose, and may increase with sudden head movements. These symptoms can be the same whether the origin of the pain is from the sinuses or the trigger points. Other symptoms such as nasal discharge and ear fullness are more likely to be from the sinuses but can be imitated by the sternocleidomastoid muscle. If fever, facial swelling, or other signs of illness are present, or if the nasal discharge is dark yellow or green, then it is much more likely to be coming from the sinuses. If this is the case, I recommend trying nasal irrigation, where you clean out the sinuses several times per day. I have found this to be very effective way to get rid of sinus infections. "

You should all treat yourselves for parasites (intestinal worms) every 6 months no need to get tested. I had all of these symptoms which amount to neuralgia and allergies. Mine was tapeworm. The tapeworm suppresses the immune system and masks symptoms. Fatigue, skin problems, brain fog, joint pain, hair loss, digestive issues and all of the symptoms indicated by the original poster are a syndrome of a weakened body caused by a parasitic load for an extended period of time combined with normal life stress, bad diet and improper sleep. It's a simple pill you take one or two over a course of 2 weeks. Raw coconut shavings are also an excellent way to assist the anti-parasitic drugs. Research some parasite statistics check into it for yourself. Everyone should be treated at least annually for parasites.

I am a 39 year old male and have suffered from diabetes (type 2) since my early twenties. Medicines seem to be doing less and less for me lately so I began a strict low carb diet about 6 months back. A1c and other tests for cholesterol and high blood pressure are all in normal range. This may not have to do with the following but I though it worth mentioning. Within the last few months I noticed my sinuses became extremely clogged or stuffy when I would lay down. Thought it might be a infection so Dr gave me amoxicillin to treat for sinus infection. This seemed to have little if any effect . Sinuses still clog at night. Started waking up several times at night and seemed to get poor rest at night. Would wake up with dry mouth and clogged nose. It would ease a little if I set up for a short period. Then started waking up with symptoms similar to original poster. Odd feeling tingling in arms and legs. Just feeling unexplained irritability. About two weeks back right eye lid started twitching and continues til now. I get a one and off head ache in the front of my head and sometimes feel like my ears are holding fluid and have irritable feeling above my nose between my eyes. More resent I have noticed random muscle twitches in various parts of my body when I am at rest. Have appointment with my GA on Monday but still worry about the worst. ( on a side note early this spring my wife and I noticed some small amounts of mold on our inside window seals in our bedroom. We cleaned this up then later after starting to use our window AC we found lots of mold inside the unit. Cleaned it as thoroughly as possible with concentrated bleach cleaner and replaced it as soon as possible. I bought a hygrometer to heck humidity in the bed room and it has hovered in 60's to 70 percent. Haven't seen any more mold, but Could the humidity or possible mold expose be contributing to the above symptoms? ) Ordered a dehumidifier and should receive it in a few days. Any reassurance or thoughts on my health issues would be greatly appreciated.
I have 100% exact same issues. Can you recommend any over the counter/natural pills which help parasites other than what you mentioned? I was diagnosed today with complete sinus blockage per face X-ray  , which has to be all drained under general anesthesia and that's how bad it is. But I'm wondering how all the symptoms of dizziness, lightheadedness tingling in arms/legs and some stiffness can be only related to the sinus blockage . Doctor says it does all kind of things to the body and dizziness is definitely a common symptom....

I appreciate any help. Thanks

I've had pretty much everyone of your symptoms as well!

Can anyone else add anymore light to these symptoms?

My doctor told me that the sinusitis i had must have been a viral infection that has thrown my nerves out of whack.... i've been having this problem for about 3+ months now!

Can sinusitis really cause all of these symptoms??? (it's very hard to belive and i'm starting to doubt it).
