Numbness in only one leg

Im not sure where to post this. I have had occasional numbness and weakness in my right leg but I woke this morning to complete numbness from my right knee down to ankle and I am having a really hard time moving my leg forward. I am wondering if anyone would know what causes this?

Hi again :), I read your journal but it did not say what tests you have had, like have you had EMG? Because that rules out many things. Are the numbness and problem moving your leg still as bad? I sure hope you get answer from that great neuro, just be sure to not sound like you have anxiety or anything like that, and write some memo of things you want to remember to ask him about.

Im trying to not panic, if numbness moves up my body then I will be quite scared. I still have the numbness today ugh.
Due to not getting answers for my chronic pain and several other symptoms I will be seeking out one of the best neuros in my state, which is about 5 hours away eek. But I am willing to go that far to get answers I have been seeking.

Hi, I am sorry that this is happening to you, it sure can be scary. You would need to go see your doctor or a neurologist. With symptom like this you would probably need an EMG test and then some more tests. This can be many things, ranging from being some pinched nerve to maybe like ms or ms mimics (witch are so many). So please try not to panic, it is always best to think positive.

I have had nerve problems for two years now since June, but I have had all the tests and it did not help. But most often they can find out pretty soon, and in most cases it is some kind of pinched nerve.
